Components of J-Tip

The J-Tip Needleless Injection
System is a "user friendly" medical device system comprised of
three component assemblies. The system, as designed, is primarily
dedicated to needleless virtually pain-free injection of insulin for the
diabetic. A complete and detailed description of the system and each
integrated component assembly is described in the User's Manual.
A brief description and specifications
of the individual components of the injection system are presented as
follows:
1. The J-Tip Needleless
Injector:
is a single use, pre-sterilized,
disposable unit which is similar to the customary syringe in the
delivery of medications that are presently used by the diabetic for
injection of insulin. The J-Tip is filled in a similar manner to the
needle syringe. Each sterile disposable J-Tip Needleless Injector
contains it's own power source (CO2) to deliver the medication through
the skin into the subcutaneous tissue.
2. The J-Tip Adapter:
is attached to the insulin bottle
enabling the user fill the J-Tip Transporter with the appropriate volume
dosage. The J-Tip Adapter is provided as a sterile unit which is
disposed of when the medications bottle is empty. The J-Tip adapter is
ackaged and sold separately.
3. The J-Tip Transporter:
allows medication to be taken
from the insulin bottle and filled into the J-Tip injectors. It is
provided as a sterile disposable, and is discarded when the mediation
bottle is emptied. The Transporter enables the user to fill and carry
the patient's daily anticipated insulin dosage requirements .
4. The J-Tip Cartridge Transfer
system:
is a unique accessory item
incorporating the presently available and popular prepackaged
Novoinsulin cartridge. The J-Tip cartridge transfer system enables the
diabetic to easily fill the J-Tip injector from the Novo insulin vials
and utilize needleless injection for treatment. This unique product
accessory is designed to enhance use of the Squibb Novo insulin
cartridge designed used in the Squibb Novo pen.
